Heraclitus said a man cannot enter the same river twice, because both the man and the river will be different the second time. This can be applied to an artist, who represents objective reality according to their personal reality.
I am an artist (painter) and an art therapist, based in South East London, who is fascinated by internal and external transformations. I “zoom in” to the scene, then seek the “heart” of the object and the meaning behind it. I search the reflection in my own heart, build connections and structure, and look for feelings that could explain the attraction.
I received my art training at the University of Cyril and Methodius in Bulgaria. My training as an art therapist I received from Goldsmiths, University of London. My preferred medium is oil on canvas; for sketches and drawings I prefer soft pastel.
Alongside painting I practise individual art therapy and facilitate art and well-being groups.
